Bench. Artist Series Collaboration Tees: DR.ME

In keeping with the ethos of the Self Made Campaign, Bench have teamed up with DR: ME, an art and design creative studio, for the first of a series of artist collaboration tees.

Hailing from Manchester, DR:ME is a creative design studio, owned and run by Eddie and Ryan. Refusing to be pigeonholed their portfolio consists of art installations, record sleeves, event posters, sculpture and gallery curation. Inspiration for the collection comes from New York. Below, Eddie and Ryan describe this process:

"When we worked in New York we found a mixed collection of old books and magazines on the street in Crown Heights. When bringing them back to the studio, which we were working for at the time, they advised us that they had to throw them away. They were too good to throw away so we created a bespoke collection of collage zines, which is where the spreads come from. We did not catch bed bugs."

The artist series collection sees five pounds from each sale donated to 'Forever Manchester' a charity that aims to put money back into the community by providing funding for local people and groups seeking to make a positive change within their neighbourhoods. The collection is exclusive to the newly launched Bench Concept Store in Manchester's Northern Quarter, with only 20 of each made and signed by Eddie and Ryan.
