Last week at Omega House

The first week of the London 2012 Games has gone past in a flash. And what a week it has been.

Omega House has welcomed hundreds of guests through its doors – to listen to amazing speakers, party the night away or just relax in the garden and watch the big screen. Here are a few of the famous faces we’ve spotted dropping by to say hello…

The opening party on Saturday 28 July was one of the most exciting events at the house, setting the bar high for Olympics parties. Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban joined actor Eddie Redmayne, designer Henry Holland, presenters Caroline Flack and Jenni Falconer, musician and DJ Jarvis Cocker, burlesque star Immodesty Blaize, athlete Iwan Thomas, actress Olivia Grant and magician Dynamo for an evening like no other.

Sunday welcomed actress Lily James, actor Simon Farnaby, and Sex And The City superstar Kim Cattrall to the house. Cattrall was back later in the week to relax in the garden with friends. Other regular visitors have included presenter, blogger and DJ Izzy Lawrence, the new Superman Henry Cavill, and T4 presenter Rick Edwards, who was seen getting into the swing of things at the Taste of Russia evening on Friday, along with Omega’s new brand ambassador Vanessa-Mae.

Colin Jackson is one of the sports stars that have dropped by, along with skeleton gold medallist Amy Williams and golfers Michelle Wie and Greg Norman. And the Space Day saw the arrival of astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Gene Cernan and Thomas Stafford.

It has been an incredible first week in the house, and the perfect warm-up for what promises to be an equally brilliant second half of the Olympics.
