The LA fashion-forward band has song “Lifeboat” featured in latest episode of The Kardashians
(New York, NY – August 29, 2012) – LA based Indie-pop band, Early Morning Rebel continues its whirlwind year with a sync of their song “Lifeboat” on this past weekend’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The song’s solemn lyrics, “I’ve been looking for a lifeboat for you / I’ve been looking for a light left in your eye,” played during an episode titled, “Kardashian Therapy Part One” and perfectly reflects the mood and feeling of a certain Kardashian who was, as it happened, swimming in tears. EMR, who has been touted ‘fashion’s new IT band, broke out originally when their song “Lifeboat” was featured in the popular drama, Grey’s Anatomy.
The band has continued to capture the interest of not only the music industry, but fashion as well. Just off the road with soul pop group Graffiti6 and consecutive sold out US gigs of their own, the band is looking forward to embarking again to London and Paris where, last season, the welcome was warm. They will be performing for top fashion designers and industry and will appear at shows, many of which are featuring its music. Hedi Slimane himself had kind words for the band; afterward publications from WWD and Style.com to Details and Esquire couldn’t get enough. And with a plethora of fans in the young Hollywood set – Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom to name a few – Early Morning Rebel looks forward to continuing to promote latest single, “Burn Us Down.
