FALL/WINTER 2014 BOOMERANG WEEKEND HIDEAWAY

In the Autumn ´14 Womens- and Mens collections Boomerang have chosen to set classic against modern influences. Well behaved cuts in rebel colours and smart high-tech fabrics next to traditional natural fabrics.

The women's collection includes luxury mohair- shirts and quilted lumber jackets, sailing sweaters in merino wool, maxi cardigans in bouclé and classic white shirts. Featuring sporty crewnecks appearing on dresses, shirts and knits, and a wealth of luxury, tailored jersey garments, mixed with simple, comfortable family favourites. Inspired by the classic ski resorts of Gstaad and St: Moritz: offering a timeless sporty elegance, interpreted for the here and now!

On the men's side they see checked shirts in twill and wool roll-necks. The updated down parka and grey denim, finds the excitement lies in the contrast, the unexpected and tantalizing. Colours range from creamy panna cotta and smoky blue to a bold bright red and sober midnight blue.

The silhouette is slim-tailored, accessorised and accented with leather gloves and sweeping scarves in soft wool. But Boomerang is not just about the exterior. When they started almost 40 years ago, they understood understated fashion, creating impact through quality materials and raw materials, elaborate details and a sort of natural simplicity. As part of the same philosophy, ‘The Boomerang Effect’ was, and still remains about sustainability and the eternal cycle. ‘The Effect’ means that you can give older Boomerang garments back to their stores.

In return this provides discount on new garments - which then after years of use are given the chance to live on through Boomerang Vintage , or perhaps re-used in the Boomerang Home Collection.  The Boomerang Effect is genuine validation of the high quality and durability in their products.

Boomerang’s first UK Store is at 7 West Street, Farnham, Surrey. Tel: 01252 725200

DOLCE&GABBANA OPEN A NEW BOND STREET STORE AND KICK OFF LONDON COLLECTIONS SS 14

One of the hottest tickets for London Collections was the Dolce&Gabbana men's tailoring presentation of the forthcoming SS 14 collection.... so on saturday night Brit Model Oliver Cheshire marched a pack of models from London's Claridges Hotel through the streets of Mayfair, London to the new Dolce store located at 53-55 New Bond street ... They were all wearing Dolce of course!

On their arrival they proceeded to present the SS 14 tailoring collection to a very select VIP crowd including the designers themselves, Dylan Jones who co hosted the event, Kylie Minogue and Style Icon and model David Gandy to name a few.

The new store is unique in its concept, look and amenities ... there is an atmosphere of a gentleman's club and the offers bespoke tailoring, an Italian Barber shop, fashion and an array of luxurious accessories...

The night ended with a party with guest toasting the success of the new store .. which I can confirm is truly amazing ... its looks small from the outside but inside its like Dr Who's Tardis ... never ending ... for now check out pictures of the presentation and of course the party and be sure to pop in next time your on New Bond Street as this store is something not to be missed...

EXCLUSIVE - DOLCE&GABBANA OPEN NEW STORE ON LONDON'S BOND STREET

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in London with British GQ

Saturday 15th June 2013 see another new landmark for italian design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana as they open their fourth Dolce&Gabbana boutique in London with an event that will be part of the official London Collections: Men’s calendar during which the Summer 2014 Tailoring Collection for men will be presented.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dolce&Gabbana to London Collections: Men, and we are delighted that they are opening this season with such a high-profile event. London welcomes Domenico and Stefano and hope they decide to have an event here every season.” Dylan Jones, Editor in Chief – British GQ

Italian and English sartorial traditions meet and blend in a new, one-of-a-kind space, designed and created exclusively for London and located at 53-55 New Bond Street.

The new store is part of a new strategy which sees the creation of special stores that each have unique identities of the cities they are located at...... did you see the New York Store launch??

Of recent brands are opening uber stores thats what I like to call them they are bigger and better and offer great space for entertaining... one particular brand actually holds concerts in store and another has a secret garden....

“London has always been one of the cities we love the most. It’s not by chance that we have decided to open this particular store here. British sense of style is part of their DNA, it’s been part of their culture for ages. Just like in Italy. When Dylan invited us to come, we couldn’t say no!”

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana

This is not to be missed!!!

Dolce&Gabbana boutiques in London are located at 6 (menswear) and 175 (womenswear) Sloane Street and at 6/8 Old Bond Street (menswear and womenswear).
