MUST SEE - Gucci Pre-Fall 2017 Campaign: Soul Scene – The Director’s Cut
Gucci have got it so so so right ... I'm going to be honest when I saw the first collection from Alessandro Michele for Gucci I was like what the Fuck!! with Pussy bow blouses for men! but now I get it! season after season It just gets better and better and its the label you must be wearing even though it's a little bit pricey I'm dying to buy a pair of the Princeton slippers but everyone has them but I am actively looking for a pair of shoes from this collection just to say I was part of it ... this reminds me of when Tom ford was at the helm he got it so right and I bought just about everything and still have lots of pieces .....
This video was shot just around the corner from where I live in Dalston #screeeeaaammmmmm I saw them setting up and was wondering what it was all about and then they had a party to celebrate the shoot and alas I was not invited!
RIGHT NOW I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF GUCCI!
Best campaign I've seen and really like in at least 3 years! it does what it's suppose to do and what alot of campaigns don't do ... it draws you in and makes you want to be a part of that world and you need to buy something even if its just a keyring .....
so so so classy I can't praise this campaign enough
Inspired by the photographs of artist Malick Sidibé, who in the 60s and 70s captured youth culture in Africa, the Pre-Fall 2017 campaign video reflects the vibrant attitude of the collection. Referencing the spirit of England's underground Northern Soul movement from the 60s and 70s, the campaign explores the freedom of expression found in music and dance. Set in the Mildmay club in London, a colorful dancehall, photographer Glen Luchford together with artistic direction by Christopher Simmonds capture Alessandro Michele's latest collections in a dynamic and spontaneous video and images.

Gucci Stories: The Myth of Orpheus and Eurydice
Gucci’s “The Myth of Orpheus and Eurydice” is a four-part series of short films shot in New York. “Palo Alto” director Gia Coppola casts a contemporary lens over the Greek legend, starring the ill-fated lovers and the Pre-Fall 2016 collection.
According to the ancient tale, talented musician Orpheus descends to the underworld to retrieve his beloved wife Eurydice, who steps on a poisonous snake and dies after being chased by Aristaeus. Moved by Orpheus’ music, Hades, ruler of the afterlife, allows him to take Eurydice back under one condition. Eurydice is to follow Orpheus while walking out to the light, but he can’t look back otherwise she will return to the land of the dead forever.
Chapter 1: The Wedding
In the wedding scene, Eurydice, played by singer songwriter Lou Doillon wears a serpent embroidered gown from the new collection. To match it perfectly, Alessandro Michele created a custom diaphanous tulle veil with a four-foot train shaped like a butterfly.
Chapter 2: The Bliss
First seen ominously watching the newly married couple in the first chapter, actress Laura Love reappears as Aristaeus, in Pre-Fall’s striking embroidered red cape.
Chapter 3: The Descent
Underscoring each film’s romantic scenes, Oscar-nominated costume designer Arianne Phillips styled the shoot with the Pre-Fall 2016 collection. Eurydice meets her fate in a white lace dress, Dionysus boots featuring sequin patches and the GG Marmont bag inset with red leather hearts.
Chapter 4: The Petition of Hades
Gia Coppola’s dreamy take on the myth is accompanied by a modern pop score arranged by Dev Hynes, who composed a melodic tune for Orpheus to strum when charming Hades in a subterranean club.

BLK DNM "Freedom" Film | Dorothea Barth Jorgensen in FW13
"With the FW13 film, I wanted to reflect on this persistent thought I've had in my head lately.. While strong women are the enduring inspiration for BLK DNM, I've been thinking a lot about what it means to use that strength to be independent, to go your own way.. The film shows Dorothea rebelling against something that has held her back.. Maybe she's just finished a long relationship, and escapes to this old manor out in the country with just her thoughts, books and paint.. Alone, she frees herself.. Through her artistic expression, she learns to follow only her true intuition.. For me, that is BLK DNM.."
— Johan Lindeberg, BLK DNM Founder and Creative Director
The BLK DNM FW13 Film, "Freedom," was created for Style.com Video Fashion Week.
