Hermès to open Leather Forever exhibition in London

Hermès to open Leather Forever exhibition in London this May

Celebrating the brand's 175th year, Hermès has announced the opening of Leather Forever, a new exhibition taking place at 6 Burlington Gardens, London W1, from 8-27 May. It will showcase items from Hermès’ past, such as those commissioned by the Duke of Windsor for the Duchess, as well as more recent creations. Hermès, founded by Thierry Hermès in Paris in 1837, will also present craftspeople from its Paris workshops within the exhibition, who will demonstrate the art of leather working by creating designs on site. In celebration of the exhibition, Hermès has created four unique bags representing England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales that will be auctioned by Christie's with all proceeds being donated to a charity.

That woman..... That Dress!

A dress designed by Roland Mouret was the inspiration of the Anne Sebba book which is the first biography about Wallis Simpson. The book talks of her thoughts, her love of jewellery and of course clothes. It goes on to mention her insecurities and how she hid behind clothes and how she knew the power of them. I was lucky enough to be invited along  to the Net A Porter Offices to spend an evening with Roland and and Anne to talk book and of course That dress!

The book is a great read and you really go into the life of the Duchess.... Well done Anne Who was also lucky enough to be wearing the dress on the evening....

Verdict: 10 out of 10

Out now!
