Lee Cooper Launches SS15 Collection
With a nod to our music heritage – SS15 features an upgrade of ‘straight’ campaign imagery with a mix of overlaid commissioned artwork, in true band-poster style. We have kept the fun, rock n’ roll attitude from the 60s and 70s but have recut it for 21st century, by combining photography and collage. Rather than simply shooting local Makers as we have in past seasons, this season we have featured the art of one new Maker, Rosanna Webster. Her mix of collage and illustration coupled with her recent press coverage garnered our attention for this project. Rosanna’s art is a perfect addition to overlay our looks this. Her collages combine East London Imagery, historic Lee Cooper adverts, and textures along with hand drawn elements.
The Lee Cooper SS15 Collection moves focus to the East End’s Canals and the industrial importance that the people working on the waterways played for the country. From weeks spent on the narrowboat, to evenings in the working men’s club and boxing club, our nod to heritage and workwear remains a strong feature around the world. And, this season’s imagery shows a truly cohesive global collection of products from some of our key partners.
WOMENSWEAR
MENSWEAR
Our key denim pieces, Harry and Pearl, feature design elements such as copper hardwear detail to give an antique feel, busted out seams with red over-locking, and reinforced back pockets. Both styles also feature the classic Lee Cooper arcuate on the back pocket, as used in 1908, and our iconic red tab and branded rivets, resulting in a look which is distinctly Lee Cooper.
Spring Summer 2015 celebrates our East London heritage. From canal workwear to music and craft we are celebrating the place and the things that built our legacy whilst modernising for today. Lee Cooper Recut.
