Stella Jean presented her Autumn/Winter 2015 collection on Wednesday 25th February in Milan. For this collection the globetrotting Stella Jean woman travelled to the Indian Himalayas and spent time in a gentleman’s barbershop. This resulted in a collection rich in colours, textures and beautiful prints. Through her styling, Stella Jean’s show was rich in multicultural crossovers as combinations of garments and accessories created a new narrative connecting the countries of India, England, Italy, Haiti and Burkina Faso.
Stella Jean continues to work closely with the Ethical Fashion Initiative and with its network of artisans. This collection featured fer découpé, papier-mâché and quilting skills of Haitian artisans. The show also showcased some fabric from Burkina Faso used as belts and on the bags.
