Chelsea in Bloom returns for 2013, accompanying the RHS Chelsea Flower Show

Chelsea in Bloom, the world class alternative floral art show is back, this year celebrating the RHS Chelsea Flower Show’s Centenary year. Now in its 8th year, the event will be taking a retrospective look at Chelsea through the ages, commemorating the area with stunning floral displays. The retailers of the royal borough will compete to create the most imaginative and creative construction, formed entirely from fresh flowers and plants. They will then be judged by the official RHS Chelsea Flower Show judges.

Chelsea will be attracting visitors from across the globe from 20th – 25th of May with its array of colour, fun and excitement. 2012 winners included a larger-than-life floral corgi at Ted Baker, an afternoon tea fit for a Queen at Liz Earle and a set of rosy royal guards at Hackett. 2013 promises to be bigger and brighter than ever!

Guests to the area can also enjoy a number of other activities in Sloane Square and the surrounding area. All are invited to take a FREE rickshaw tour of the Chelsea in Bloom entrants before heading to the pop-up champagne bar for a cool glass of bubbly. They can even try their hand at gardening at the plant-your-own nursery or pop into Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa for a ‘floral blow-dry’, in which a style of your choice will be finished off with a freshly cut flower.
