Earlier this week I had the pleasure of attending the I Heart Holiday party which was thrown by Tatty Devine in deepest south London.... What what a night it was .... Great cocktails, great Indian inspired drinks and free converse... But the highlight on the night was the pain fighting #screeaaaammm I was not expecting that! I was dressed in dark clothing and most of the other guests young females were all wearing white, everything came to light when the paint was flying and I ran like a big GURRRLL! But these girls and boys of course were really going at it ....
It was a great party, not to the sort I'm use to attending but turned out to be amazing!!! Btw we also got to check out some of the wares available from Tatty Devine before the mayhem and its definitely worth a look in!
All in all great night and I'm now the proud owner of a pair of Tatty Devine earrings ... I wish I had taken part in the paint throwing as participants got free converse #justsayin
Checkout pictures from the night below or the live feed I did from the party on my Instagram, Facebook or tumblr
FYI check out the before and after pictures below. Hilarious!!!
Here's the scoop
Independent British jewellery brand Tatty Devine were joined on Wednesday 27th March by girl band Stooshe, TV presenter Pips Taylor, MTV’s Lilah Parsons and BBC Radio 1 Xtra’s Sarah Jane Crawford at a spectacular I Heart Holi Party, in collaboration with iHeart Studios.
Tatty Devine co-founders Rosie Wolfenden and Harriet Vine threw the huge party for over 300 guests who, despite the arctic temperatures, all turned out to enjoy a blast of colour on the same day as India’s spectacular Holi festival, to celebrate Tatty Devine’s latest jewellery collection.
It all happened at iHeart Studios in Bermondsey, and was sponsored by Midori melon liqueur. The fun really started from 9pm, when guests were given a rainbow of powder paints to throw in traditional Holi style. Everyone emerged from the party covered head-to-toe in bright colour!
Before the paint throwing commenced, guests sipped on colourful drinks such as the ‘Holi Midori’ at Midori's pop-up cocktail bar, and enjoyed food from Kolkata Street Food. Illamasqua provided make-up transformations, top UK henna artist Riffat Bahar created beautiful henna art and glitter tattoos, and the fabulous Nancy MC adorned guests’ nails with exclusive designs. Portraits took place in the iHeart Studios photo booth, and beside a vintage Indian Ambassador car from Karma Kabs.
Goodie bags were fit to bursting with Tatty Devine’s latest jewellery and goodies from Pretty Polly, Eylure, Crazy Colour, Dishoom, Clipper Teas, Method, Montagne Jeunesse and Rosie Wonders. Guests also won jewellery in Tatty Devine's colourful ribbon game and shopped the full Spring/Summer 2013 collection at the party pop-up shop.
Tatty Devine co-founders Rosie Wolfenden and Harriet Vine said: “This is the first time we’ve thrown a party on this scale and we were thrilled so many people turned out to celebrate the Holi festival and our new collection. The collection was inspired by vibrant spring festivals, so a powder paint extravaganza was the perfect way to celebrate and have some fun with colour!”
