SATURDAY MORNING - MARNI SUMMER EDITION 2013

The new capsule collection SATURDAY MORNING, part of the MARNI SUMMER EDITION 2013, combines outerwear and loungewear inspired pieces to create a metropolitan and relaxed wardrobe. Oversize shorts and trousers, wide skirts and tops, clean cut shirts and k-ways mix and mingle in a light way. Materials include cotton, technical voile and jersey cotton in white, light grey and pink. Black is used as technical and decorative detail and recurs as a graphic accent.



The collection features a special collaboration with Dutch artist Rop van Mierlo. Blotchy shapes of animals - a donkey, a tiger, a parrot and an ostrich which has been created by the artist exclusively for Marni - are printed onto t-shirts. The subjects are part of van Mierlo's book Wild Animals.
Accessories include foulards in silk, shopping bags in PVC with leather handles and animal brooches, which create quirky accents.
