SPRING/SUMMER 2013 WOMENSWEAR COLLECTION
For Spring/Summer 2013 the collection is about the contrasting worlds of the EDUN girl – intimate and extroverted, utilitarian and outerworldly.
As always, EDUN explores the juxtaposition between these two different worlds:urban prints are patch-worked with hand drawn, etched florals. Jacquard dresses are paired with utilitarian outerwear. The cargo pant is re-imagined in sheer prints and shine. Crochet patterns are inspired by urban grids and layered over bralettes and fatigue broderie-anglaise shorts. The ancient African technique of mud dye on cotton and silk from from Mali, combined with denim in outerwear.
Key Fabrics and Techniques: Mud dyed Silks and Cotton; Etched and Hand-drawn Florals and Camo in Devore and Silk Jacquard; Patch-worked Over-dyed Texture Cotton; Hand knits and Hand Crochet; Jacquard Denim with Hard Shine.
