Fashion designer Victoria Beckham has announced the launch of a new optical collection for SS13. Launching with six styles each offered in three tonal colour ways, the collection is manufactured in partnership with Cutler and Gross, with each piece handcrafted in Italy. Central to this collection is the sense of depth, texture and detailing found in the sunglasses range, launched in 2009. Translucent washes of sepia stained colour is a feature, emulating 1950's cellulose material used on film strips and period eyewear, with naturally inspired materials such as whispered horn with pearl oyster interior lining used across the collection. Complimentary to the sunglasses range, the optical collection blends iconic silhouettes with signature branding details such as the refined diamond facetted ‘V’ featured on the tip of each frame. Prices will range from £295 to £340 and the new collection will be launched to retailers at Silmo Paris, arriving in stores from January 2013.
