EMPORIO ARMANI MENSWEAR
SPRING/SUMMER 2013 COLLECTION
IMPECCABLE
A new concept in impeccable elegance that is the embodiment of freshness and decorum, with a hint of aristocracy. The collection is composed of all those pieces that should be in the wardrobe of a young man who values contemporary style and refined details.
Trench coats, caban jackets and jackets in classic fabrics – Prince of Wales, herringbone and micro check prints – are treated and crafted using technical procedures that give them a new texture. The insides of the jackets are taped and thermo-sealed for a perfect contemporary silhouette. The waffle jersey chiné jacket possesses the lightness and comfort of sportswear – it is available in both a single-breasted and double-breasted version, and has the fit and nonchalant ease of a cardigan. Equally comfortable are the blazers tailored in nappa plonge leather, which feature raw-cut edges and thermo-sealing.
The jackets are teamed with 1950s-inspired Bermuda shorts: short and fitted, with discreet cuffs. Alternatively, they are paired with ankle-length trousers with a lower rise and a pleated front.
Blues and naturally subtle hues such as white with touches of sandy beige and grey contrast with a sophisticated array of military greens, including the darker part of the green spectrum, which give a sense of rigor to styles evoking youthful and polite elegance. Elegance is also expressed through tie clips and collar studs that accentuate the graceful appearance of the shirts, as well as through a selection of extraordinary accessories: pine green or cognac brown vacchetta leather bags, and ultra slim document holders and iPad cases. There are also beautiful solid shoes – Giorgio Armani's favourites because they emphasize the virility in a man's step – with a unique sole and remarkable uppers with a tortoise shell effect, or in rock star silver, or enriched with micro-perforations on a vacchetta leather and mesh background.
