Base London S/S12 – ‘In The City’ Formal Range
UK men’s footwear brand Base London have launched their ‘In The City’ formal range for Spring Summer 2012. Forming part of the ‘International World Of Base London’ collection, which highlights the brand’s rapid growth on the international footwear scene, the ‘In The City’ range provides a selection of styles that are influenced by the city professional. A sharp suit and a work hard, play hard attitude is what the range is tailored for as traditional British silhouettes and high quality leathers are finished with a more contemporary edge.
Base London’s Snug and Barcelona reveal different brogue interpretations, introducing modern washed leather treatments and material combinations. Displayed neatly on a quality leather sole with gripping rubber tread, Snug takes the classic English last shape and updates it with a high temperature washed leather finish. Barcelona, a modern take on the traditional longwing brogue, presents ‘combination construction’, mixing materials and colourways, all built onto a versatile and lasting red rubber sole unit.
Also in the Base London ‘In The City’ range Thaw and Bunting reveal a modern take on traditional styles which again combine different leather finishes and design details. Thaw, a work shoe with a very clean line, displays a high quality leather upper on a versatile leather sole with rubber grip, the result is a highly understated yet extremely powerful style. Conversely, Bunting has a more eccentric look, a saddle shoe that combining waxy leathers with suede uppers to produce a very countrified take on the city style.
