JASPER GARVIDA A/W 11/12 (LONDON FASHION WEEK) THE BLOG

Those of you who follow my blog regularly know that I'm a huge fan (chief cheerleader) of Jasper Garvida and his designs.  For me Jasper cannot do no wrong he knows how to embrace and show off the female form to its full potential with whatever he presents! classy, well tailored clothing with wait for it my favourite saying when describing his designs "a bit of sexy thrown in".

In saying this for Autumn/Winter 2011 Jasper Garvida takes us on a mesmerising journey with his collection 'Le Baiser'.  As always the show was sponsored by Miele -German premium domestic appliance manufacturers.

Inspired by the novel Soie' by Alessandro Baricco - a romantic take of a European man who becomes enchanted by the east, the collection focuses on contrasts and the beauty that can be formed when two different worlds intertwine.  The collection incorporates strong streamlined tailoring and soft draping with demure skirt lengths that have a sexy edge in the form of daring slits peek-a-boo cut-outs to reveal flashes sensuality.

The collection uses a strong oriental colour palette of fiery reds, rich navy, and enchanting greens which mingles amongst soft rose pinks and vintage cream tones reminiscent of the colour palettes of women's fashion in the early 1900's.

For me Jasper Garvida who I now consider a friend and his collections just keep going from strength to strength I sit at home waiting to see what he has to offer his every growing followers every season.  Here are my pics from the show and I hope you like them but I think my camera did not do the designs the justice it deserves. For more coverage please visit http://www.jaspergavida.com/ where you can also purchase and view the the current SS 11 collection.

Just when I thought I could not be blown away anymore Ive been proven wrong as the Jasper Garvida A/W 11 collection is truly spectacular and mind blowing.

Verdict: Definitely one of London Fashion Week's stand out shows and my personal best... Double thumbs up from the Clotheshorse and roll on September as I cant wait for the next installment of this journey.....

One question...... when will we get Jasper's menswear collection......
