CASLAZUR AW 14

Rocking-rococo is the result of a desire to create something masculine and strong but also sexy and feminine. Inspired by the style and attitude of men in the1950's such as icons like Elvis and James Dean. Rocking rococo is all about feeling effortlessly chic with a nonchalant attitude. The undertones of decadence and promiscuity, femininity and style in rococo art are complimented by the rebellious cool of rock and roll. The colour palette stretches from deep plum and maroon to warm flesh tones, dove grey and the palest greens.

Key fabrics for the season include silks and silk wool blends, cashmere and then leathers in pale grey and metallic coal, as well butter soft suede’s and pony skin for accessories.

Sheer shirt dresses are mixed with leather bikers and men’s style tuxedos. There are romantic pieces, flowing evening wear and pale bubble jackets in bespoke prints. Finally ‘Tushi-bags’ and waist belts team up jumpsuits and rolled-sleeve shirts for a more playful feel.
