MARNI JEWELLERY S/S 2013 COLLECTION

For the Spring/Summer 2013 season Marni has created a series of bijoux that characterize abstract animals, similar to microorganisms observed under the microscope.

Their figure, delicate yet severe, is reduced to its pure essence: geometric elements in wood, metal and resin are overlaid, giving form to antennas, wings, eyes, beaks and tentacles. Precious wood is shaped, shiny metal and brass are cutout and milled, creating three-dimensional effects.

Tiny animals decorate earrings, bracelets with leather bands or in rigid metal, oversize brooches and necklaces, crafted out of leather and metal.
