IT'S HERE - DKNY FOR OPENING CEREMONY!

DKNY EXCLUSIVELY FOR OPENING CEREMONY

The two New York companies team up on a limited capsule of re-issued iconic pieces from the early 90s. Available February 2013

DKNY, the brand that has embodied the spirit and energy of New York style since 1989, has partnered with Opening Ceremony for a trip to the 90’s featuring fifteen re-issued styles from the design archives. This selection captures the essence of DKNY at the time when the brand exploded onto the scene. Definitive styles from the era appear in the collection, including body conscious silhouettes, boldly branded sportswear with New York landscape printed streetwear.
"DKNY was a pioneer of streetwear fashion in the 90’s. We have been longtime fans of the brand and were very excited to bring back select, quintessential styles that feel fresh even today," remarks Carol Lim, Co-founder of Opening Ceremony.

"I have always loved Opening Ceremony. Their unique and creative point of view mixed with 90's throw backs are very reminiscent of DKNY's core DNA. They were a natural partner to reissue iconic styles from our early years," says Jane Chung, Executive Vice President of Design for DKNY, on the collaboration.

The limited edition capsule of re-issued archival runway styles includes unisex tees and hoodies as well as women’s dresses, bodysuits, and a jacket. The signature items re-issued from the DKNY archives include:

From 1991: A cropped puffer jacket, logo tee, logo bodysuit, hooded logo sweatshirt, branded leggings and hooded zip front jumpsuit.

From 1992: A New York skyline tee.

From 1994: A cropped hooded logo sweatshirt, a hooded logo maxi dress, maxi skirt,
colorblocked zip front jumpsuit and maxi dress.

The collection will be available beginning February 1, 2013, exclusively in Opening Ceremony stores in New York, Los Angeles, London and Tokyo and available online at openingceremony.us. The collection will range from $145 for tees and the bodysuit to $665 for outerwear.
