Marni is pleased to announce the opening of its first store at Reel Mall in Shanghai. The 80 square meter store showcases exclusively the MARNI EDITION women’s and the MARNI men’s collections.
The MARNI EDITION stores introduce a new concept of design for Marni. The ideas of flexibility and modularity describe the Edition concept providing a boundless versatility. The store is conceived as an significant backdrop for the Marni Edition and the Marni men’s collections: the space runs a colorful impact due to a carpet patchwork created with three Marni Edition patterns also featured in the collection.
The whole perimeter of the selling area has been covered with back lit transparent alveolar panels covered with a printed adhesive films in the three different patterns. Steel tubular structures like a “metal forest” are Marni Edition distinctive elements, steel shelves are added to the tubular structures to grant an interchangeable display, both for ready to wear and for accessories.
Steel rails are connected with one another on top and bottom by stainless steel hinges allowing different set ups: curved and straight rails are connected together to create two long flexible “snakes”. 8 natural fiberglass mannequins busts float with a scenographic impact from the ceiling in perforated rough steel contrasting with the colorful flooring.
Marni reaffirms its choice to experiment and make room for new experiences.
Marni is pleased to announce the opening of its latest boutique in Shanghai. The new Marni boutique in Shanghai's REEL shopping centre creates a sense of discovery. The design of the 130 square meter boutique is configured as three tangential circles, defining different shopping zones. A stainless steel rail hugs the curved perimeter, setting the flow of navigation and drawing shoppers naturally through the RTW collection to the shoes and accessories.
Display boxes of backlit fibreglass, set into frit-patterned stainless steel walls, become a focal point, while circular fibreglass display tables sit atop insets of deeper hued carpeting, punctuating the zones and plush velvet benches create a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.
Hanging mannequins appear to float in the simple facade, kept clear to allow clear views into the shop. A warm, earthy palette complements the latest Marni collections.
Marni is pleased to announce the opening of its new flagship boutique of 127 square meters in Forum 66 shopping mall in Shenyang. The constraints of the existing space, while presenting challenges, allowed for interesting solutions.
The long narrow space lends itself to two distinct zones for the ready to wear and accessories collections. Both spaces are visible from the exterior and invite to discover the boutique while maintaining a sense of intimacy.
Flanking the space on each side, arrays of backlit fiberglass accessories boxes set into frit-patterned stainless steel walls create a focal point, while LCD screens on the return wall behind the accessories attract from a distance in either direction.
A freestanding stainless steel rail breaks up the facade, where natural fibreglass mannequins appear to float as suspended from the ceiling. Two circular fibreglass display tables sit atop insets of deeper hued carpeting, punctuating the zones, while velvet benches encourage to relax.
A warm, earthy palette complements the latest Marni and Marni Edition collections.
Marni is pleased to announce the opening of its latest boutique in the luxury shopping centre Deji Plaza in Nanjing. The palette and the signature Marni freestanding furniture form a neutral backdrop for the 142 square meter boutique. Its interior is dominated by layers of warm beige, which convey an inviting atmosphere and enhance the latest Marni and Marni Edition collections.
A graduated frit pattern embossed on stainless steel cladding in several walls, with backlit display boxes in natural fibreglass inserted, focus attention on the accessories collection. Enhanced by darker-toned circles set flush within the luxurious beige carpeting, focal points are created by white lacquer display tables topped with perforated stainless steel and seating in white vinyl. Signature steel rails undulate around the space and, together with floating fibreglass mannequins, display the ready to wear collection.
Consuelo Castiglioni has worked closely with architecture firm Sybarite to create understated and elegant settings continuing to provide an unexpected and captivating way of presenting the Marni ready to wear and accessories collections.
