Thierry Mugler is celebrating 20 years with the launch a limited edition range, The Fragrances Of Leather. The Glove Makers and Perfumers Guild was initially started by the tanning trade, which used perfumes to mask the smell of freshly-tanned leather. These craftsmen became experts in the art of scenting leather, qualifying themselves as both glove makers and perfumers. Inspired by this tradition, Thierry Mugler wanted to explore a maturation process to enhance four of its fragrances, Angel, Alien, Womanity and A*Men, through leather. It takes four weeks for the original extracts to draw the best out of the leather and unlock its scents. These leather-imbued extracts eventually become 'The Fragrances of Leather'. The limited edition fragrances will be available nationwide from 1 October priced as follows: Angel EDP Fragrance of Leather, £40 for 30ml; Alien EDP Fragrance of Leather, £30 for 30ml; Womanity EDP Fragrance of Leather, £40 for 30ml; and A*Men EDT Fragrance of Leather, £45 for 100ml.
