J.CREW Launches Full AW12 Campaign

J.Crew is excited to announce the launch of its new Fall 2012 campaign.

The campaign features successful, fashion-forward individuals from different walks of life including David Karp, Founder and CEO, Tumblr.com; Carlos Huber, architect and creator of Arquiste perfumes; Matthew Moneypenny, President & CEO, Trunk Archive; Joe Carlucci, Contemporary Art Business Director, Phillips de Pury; Spencer Lyons, Field Advocacy Director, American Cancer Society. The focus is of the men’s is campaign is J.Crews iconic ‘Ludlow’ suit, Thomas Mason shirting and Italian cashmere.
The campaign aims to communicate the quality behind the iconic American Label, J.Crew, which invests in the finest fabrics, works with some of the world’s best mills and designs every piece of the collections in-house. It speaks directly to those who recognize quality and appreciate the finer details in life and does so in a quirky, humorous voice.

Lines include “you speak softly and carry a loud bag” or “you like your terriers English and your shoes Italian”, and all conclude with the phrase “We Know You’re Out There”.


Diego Scotti, J. Crew’s chief marketing officer, says: “We chose very accomplished people who have an impact on our customers and culture in general. They appreciate quality and detail. Our customers identify with them, but the campaign is not about celebrities.”

This is the first time J.Crew has embarked on such a wide multimedia marketing initiative which will be featured in print and online advertising, on jcrew.com, in the J.Crew catalogue and in stores.
