Trailblazing ‘label to watch’ launches highly anticipated new season

LUCAS HUGH, the high-fashion performance wear label, is pleased to announce the launch of its highly anticipated Spring/Summer 2012 collection online and in selected retailers including its debut in HARVEY NICHOLS (London) and BERGDORF GOODMAN (New York).

Following hot on the heels of a highly successful first season, which proved a winner with athletes, celebrities and the fashion pack alike, the new Olympics-inspired collection is bound to set pulses racing amongst the label’s fast-growing fan base.

LUCAS HUGH reimagines athletic wear for the woman whose love of high fashion carries through to her athletic wardrobe - whilst meeting the demands of the modern woman for versatility, practicality and functionality. The label’s look is edgy but sophisticated, balancing strong, clean masculine lines with sexy, feminine detailing. The collections combine a high fashion aesthetic with innovative, considered design - premised on "fashionable function" rather than "functional fashion" - and are produced using the latest hi-tech fabrics and manufacturing techniques.

The Olympics have been a key influence for the SS12 collection, which is defined by bold, vibrant hues. Lacquer-finish fabrics, directional panels, and opalescent metallic accents feature across the garments. The prismatic colour of artist Anna Sudbina's 'Krypton' abstract stretches a vibrant representation of meteoric tracery across key pieces, adding elegance and softness. With its contemporary, other-worldly celebration of both speed and poise, this collection is as flattering as it is dynamic.

Launched online in the summer of 2010, LUCAS HUGH'S inaugural collection was snapped up by Net-a-Porter, the world's premier online luxury fashion retailer, and iconic fashion store, Browns Focus in London. The SS12 collection has already captured the attention of domestic and international buyers alike - propelling LUCAS HUGH to the top of the fashion consegnetti's 'brands to watch' list - and also sees the label's expansion into new geographies, including the US.
