ESQUIRE Magazine AND MY-WARDROBE.COM SEARCH FOR BRITAIN’S BEST DRESSED REAL MAN 2011 '

In association with my-wardrobe.com, Esquire launches this year’s hunt for Britain’s Best Dressed Real Man 2011.

From every corner of the UK, the leading men’s style magazine is inviting men of all shapes, sizes and styles to step forward.

The best dressed real man of 2011 will win £20,000 to spend at my-wardrobe.com (the equivalent of a brand new outfit every fortnight for a year), a Longines watch, a Niven & Joshua hamper, a night in a lavish suite, courtesy of London’s May Fair Hotel and a coveted cover shoot for Esquire’s October issue.

Launching in Esquire’s May issue (on sale 4 April), the six month campaign encompasses editorial coverage, stylish promotions, a bespoke ‘Best Dressed’ channel on http://www.esquire.co.uk/ , exclusive style events as well as creating a buzz on Twitter and Facebook.

Any man in the country can nominate himself for the title of Britain’s Best Dressed Real Man, or for people to nominate friends or colleagues. Esquire and my-wardrobe.com fashion teams will be organising special style events in the UK’s hottest cities to find others they feel should be included in the search.

A panel of Esquire and my-wardrobe.com tastemakers, from designers to fashion critics to style icons, will judge the competition with the shortlist appearing in the September issue and the winner appearing on the cover of Esquire’s October issue.

The climax of the nationwide search will be a lavish VIP event in September. Esquire will also publish a 16 page bound-in supplement in the October issue, featuring style advice for real men, drawing on the magazine’s unsurpassed and award-winning style and grooming expertise.

The best dressed competition first launched in the UK last year and quickly became a runaway success with thousands of well-dressed chaps sending in entries. Ross Hancock, a 34-year-old tailor from east London, beat a shortlist of worthy contenders to be crowned Esquire’s Best Dressed Real Man 2010. He has since become a regular fixture on www.esquire.co.uk, imparting his inimitable brand of style advice to all those willing to listen.

Group Publishing Director, Luxury Group, Tess Macleod-Smith says: “We are delighted to once again be launching the UK’s search for Britain’s Best Dressed Real Man 2011. The success of last year’s campaign proved that fashion isn’t just about celebrity and British men do have an innate sense of style, an attention to detail and an attitude that sets us apart from other nationalities. As the country’s leading style magazine we’re looking forward to discovering the UK’s best dressed real men.”

Buying and Merchandising Director of my-wardrobe.com, Luisa De Paula says, “We are proud to partner with Esquire on the Britain’s Best Dressed Real Man campaign. We believe that Esquire fits with our ethos of ‘Everyday Luxury’. British men have never paid more attention to the way they dress, so it’s an exciting time for us to unearth true style. my-wardrobe.com encompasses all aspects of the modern man’s wardrobe, whether it be contemporary, casual, designer or classic inspirations, the hunt for the UK’s Best Dressed Real Man is on.”
