Carven Autumn/Winter 13 pre fall collection

For the Winter 2013 ‘introduction’ collection, the Carven woman gets inspired by Isabelle Adjani’s character in Romain Polanski’s film The Tenant. An inspired Parisian woman, accustomed to Saint-Germain des Prés, whose wardrobe borrows from 70’s references: thick leather, shearling, sophisticated tweed and mohair.

Using her taste for the Beaux-Arts, she plays mixing colors, from powdery notes and fall tonalities: mahogany, green,‘bataille’, and rust. In the same spirit of collage, fabrics and textures get also mixed: wool used with silk, and lace associated with faille.

This season, the Carven woman carries her portfolio as her daily bag, and gets inspired by the ‘nouveau réaliste’ artist Jacques Villeglé to dress her clothes as teared up posters. Guillaume Henry accessorizes each silhouette with high socks in silk giving an urban but yet elegant allure.
