Iris Apfel partners with MAC Cosmetics for colour collection
American businesswoman Iris Apfel has collaborated with MAC Cosmetics to produce an extensive collection inspired by her life and style. Iris has worked at Women's Wear Daily and for interior designer Elinor Johnson. Her and her husband launched textile firm Old World Weavers in 1950 and ran the business until 1992. During this time, Iris took part in many design restoration projects, including work at the White House for nine presidents: Truman, Eisenhower, Nixon, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Reagan and Clinton. Iris Apfel still consults and lectures about style as well as other fashion topics. In 2005, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City premiered an exhibition about ther fashionable style entitled Rara Avis (Rare Bird): The Irreverent Iris Apfel.
The new collection comprises lipsticks, lip pencils, eye shadows, mascara, brow pencil, eye pencil, beauty powder and nail lacquers. Prices range from £9 to £14 and will be exclusively available online from January 2012.

MAC Cosmetics introduces Daphne Guinness collection & new False Lashes Extreme Black Mascara
MAC Cosmetics is launching the new collaborative Daphne Guinness collection in January. This extensive range, which includes has a number of limited edition items, consists of Pigment (£15.50), Pro Longwear Lipcreme (£15.50), Cremesheen Glass (£16), Powerpoint Eye Pencil (£13), Eye Brows (£11.50), Eye Shadows (£33), Blush Ombré (£22) and Nail Lacquer (£9). The new collection will be available from MAC counters in January 2012.
Also launching next month is the new MAC False Lashes Extreme Black Mascara (£18). The lightweight, mousse-like formula saturates lashes in a carbon-black pigment to provide long-lasting coverage. The unique double-lush brush creates volume and lift by filling in the sparse lashes with long-wearing polymers which keep lashes supple and flexible without being brittle.
