Random Acts of Kindness in St Martin's Courtyard

St Martin’s Courtyard surprises Christmas shoppers with Random Acts of Kindness

In the true spirit of Christmas, London’s shopping and dining destination St Martin's Courtyard will be spreading cheer and joy to unsuspecting shoppers with Random Acts of Kindness over the festive season.

From Friday 12th December to Wednesday 24th December, St Martin’s Courtyard’s unique selection of shops and restaurants will be celebrating the joy of giving at Christmas by rewarding shoppers, diners and visitors with fantastic gifts completely at random. There is no obligation to buy anything to be in with a chance. There are 100 prizes waiting to be given ranging from a 10 class pass to yoga and Pilates studio Yotopia, gift vouchers to spend in store from Joules, a tea hamper from The East India Company and a pair of pumps from Pretty Ballerinas.

You could be enjoying a meal at one of the courtyard’s fine restaurants, when your table is treated to a round of champagne, buying a gift in The Covent Garden Academy of Flowers when you are given a voucher for an evening course in floral design, or browsing in L.K.Bennett and offered a luxury make-up bag. If you wish, you can then pass these gifts on to a friend or loved one for the ultimate act of goodwill. For each of the 100 lucky people who experience a random act of kindness, St Martin’s Courtyard will also donate £10 to a charity of their choice including The Connection, Save the Children and The Phoenix Garden.

In addition, all visitors to St Martin’s Courtyard will be treated to a fabulous schedule of free live music taking place on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons throughout December under the vibrant new Christmas installation. Acts include classic hits from the St Martin’s Courtyard Gospel Choir, soulful acoustic set by Jazz Ellington, British swing artists and American motown soloist Porter Shield.

Winners that post a photograph of themselves with their Christmas present or at one of the live music events using the hashtag #stmartinscourtyard will also receive a limited edition canvas shopping bag and a St Martin’s Courtyard privilege card for 10% discount on future purchases at shops and restaurants in the area.
