KAREN MILLEN SS 14 AD CAMPAIGN

‘KAREN MILLEN LAUNCHES SPRING SUMMER 14 CAMPAIGN SHOT BY DAVID BAILEY’

Karen Millen’s Spring Summer 14 campaign perfectly captures the fresh spirit of the new season.  The essence is the same, the attitude has changed: Karen Millen is confident but smiling, strong but easy.

These arresting images convey urban, intelligent design – Karen Millen’s house codes – but with a renewed sense of ease.

The clothes and models take centre stage once again.  The portraits feature four stellar faces: Tian Yi, Betty Adewole, Kayley Chabot and Josephine Skriver, all captured by iconic British photographer and artist, David Bailey.  Each of the looks was styled by fashion visionary, Katy England, and feature stand-out pieces from the new collection.

As a brand, creativity and craftsmanship define Karen Millen.  Collaborating with Bailey, with his incredible ability to capture the beauty of the clothes and the essence of his subjects through memorable and evocative portraiture, enables the brand to tell this story perfectly.  Artisan, authentic processes are used in both Karen Millen’s and Bailey’s creative journeys: Karen Millen uses couture-inspired techniques within their collections, whilst Bailey is one of the few photographers who still shoots using film.

This campaign celebrates high profile creatives in British Fashion working together to create a unique platform on which to propel future faces into the next stage of their careers.

Karen Millen is dedicated to supporting emerging fashion talent and has long been committed to discovering creatives at the early stages of their careers through their graduate protégé scheme. This gives graduates an invaluable insight into one of the most stimulating and fast-moving sectors of the industry and also allows the brand to innovate and explore new ideas through the supporting and nurturing of exceptional British design talent.
