BORA AKSU SS 14 #LFW

Bora Aksu kicked off the preceedings today with his collection "Nazar"at London Fashion Week this morning where he celebrated 10 years at LFW.  The Iznik tiles that adorn our invites followed through in the collection presented and were recreated using traditional handwoven Turkish textiles incorporated into pencil skirts, dresses, cropped jackets and boleros.

Key aspects of the collection is layering which is key with geometric laces over silk tulles and chiffons or used as sheer panels against quilted cotton for added texture in skirts and dresses.... The colour palette for the collection began with traditional "Nazar boncuk" or "evil eye bead", which are worn in turkey to ward off evil..... enough techibal talk it was a great collection to kick the week of gets my vote .... check out the looks
