C.P. Company presented their SS/14 collection at London Collections:MEN, the second season the brand has shown in London. The presentation took place at the Mercer Street Studios located in the heart of Covent Garden’s iconic Seven Dials shopping district which like the spirit of CP Company is famous for its significant past as well as its innovative present.
Upon entry, guests were treated to London’s finest in artisan Italian Gelupo, continuing through a grass court yard attentively curated to resemble a snippet of the quintessential Italian Amalfi coast area; grand olive trees scattered amongst antique garden chairs with terracotta pots a strewn. Walking through the entrance, a projected CP Goggle lens leads into an arcane visual corridor displaying images of the Summer collection.
The visual experience continued as guests lead into a back area displaying a selection of key pieces of the SS14 collection; suspended delicately from the ceiling and accompanied by a bespoke video projection. For SS14, C.P Company reinvents the idea of lightness as a recurrent theme throughout the collection. Traditional C.P. Company garments are reinvented with new fitting concepts producing classic jackets with shirt shapes, parkas transforming into raincoats made with lightweight nylon and shirts into blousons; the nylon adding an unprecedented lightness to all garments.
For this collection, C.P. Company has also collaborated with ISKO™, specialist in denim innovation, designing a special capsule consisting of two jackets using ISKO™ patented technology ISKO FUTURE FACE™.
Music was provided by ZERO7 band member Sam Hardaker while guests were treated to classic summerAperol Spritz cocktails. VIP guests included models David Gandy, Oliver Cheshire.
