GIORGIO ARMANI AND SEAN PENN APPEAR IN HISTORIC CHARITY CAMPAIGN FOR GLOBAL SUPPORT OF HAITIAN RELIEF

Giorgio Armani and his longtime friend, Academy Award-winning actor and humanitarian Sean Penn, have collaborated yet again, this time by appearing in an exclusive charity campaign bringing together Armani and Penn in a media drum beat for global support of Penn’s J/P Haitian Relief Organization.

The campaign was shot in Cannes, France, during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This seminal moment also launched the year-long humanitarian collaboration between the two, for a series of worldwide fundraising events. The campaign will debut around the world in a selection of daily newspapers in December.

J/P HRO was established by Sean Penn in 2010 after the devastating earthquake that ravaged that country. J/P HRO has become a leader in Haiti across multiple sectors working to improve living conditions in one of Haiti's largest camps for internally displaced persons, or IDPs, and surrounding neighborhoods by clearing rubble, providing medical services, education and community enrichment programs, new housing construction and neighborhood redevelopment. J/P HRO's main objective remains to help displaced people get back to durable, safer and permanent homes in revitalized neighborhoods.
