EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW - "Black Snow" A La Disposition AW 13 preview

"Black Snow”, the Graphic Novel, Prague and Hermetic Mysticism have all played an influential role in the design of the collection and find themselves fused and transformed in the lines and shapes of the pieces.

Silhouette is used to emphasize the torso and lengthen the legs of the wearer. Angular cuts and pieces from the women's Spring and Summer range are also an influence as they lend themselves well to the theme of the collection. Fabrics are traditional English woollens mixed with silk and wool tweeds and novelty suiting including some quilted pieces. The collection is heavy on greys and black with splashes of red and white throughout.

A La Disposition are known for their gothic inspired collections which verge on the quirky, eccentric individual tastes. Past influences have included Helen Bonham Carter in Sweeney Todd which can be seen in their current SS13 womenswear collection which has been going from strength to strength.

The importance of the 'runway to retail' approach for this collection is crucial in the choice of the Seven Dials location where the collection will not only be shown, but immediately offered for sale with several pieces offered in a strictly limited and exclusive run.
