OMEGA is the official timekeeper of the 2012 Olympics games and is establishing an exclusive residence for members and invited guests from tghe 27th Jult throught to the closing ceremony on the 12th August..
OMEGA House is a stuuning Georgian townhouse in the heart of Soho, London, which Im sure alot of you might know but as House of St Barnabas ..... It will act as a home for invited guests and will welcome a who's who of Londoners and visitors during the games. The house will act as a luxurious retreat from the hustle and bustle of streets and venues in the Olympic host city and is designed to create an enviorment for business meetings, catching up with friends or watching the games on the numerous big screen TV available to guests in the property.
OMEGA will also accomodate a number of VIP events and OMEGA Ambassador visits throughout the games.... Ive been to many OMEGA events and it sometimes surprises me at just who might walk through the door at any given time.... so amabassadors such as Nicole Kidman, Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin are among celebrities expected to visit OMEGA House. There are approximately 10 rooms and attention to detail is the key word here with rooms such as the Ladymatic Room, name for the brand's stylish mechanical watch for women and decorated in subtly elegant classic tones to the Seamaster Lounge a more manly lounge which is named after the Brand's Seamaster timepiece. Whilst touring the house which was an empty shelf (blank canvas) and looking at the slteches which I have taken pictures of to show you, I can see this is going to be one major project resulting in a members club like no other.....
There is also a garden which is fully decked out now and will boast many features at the time of opeing.... also in the property there is the most beautiful chapel which is a must visit if you do visit during the games although this will not be used as part of the club....
OMEGA'S LEGACY
So with all this work and upgrades and fittings .... you may be asking how does it benefit St Barnabas which as we all know is a charity....
OMEGA is having a number of upgrades and renovations done to the House and these will remain a permenant part of the building and its exterior buiulding. In the garden the legacy includes the decking, floral arrangements and built in furniture. Other improvements around the property include new wall paper, repainted railings, and walls. OMEGA, House of St Barnabas and Quintessentially group are working closely together and Stuart Urqhart of OMEGA said " we are pleased to have the opportunity to offer a facelift to an important London Building in one of the city's most historic quarters. We are also proud to be able to support the excellent work that House of St Barnabas does and it is fitting that we are able to help make this landmark even more attractive"
For now please check out the pictures and let me know what you think.... I for one cannot wait for it to open and possibly visit ....... will keep you posted!
