COUTURE IN THE 21st CENTURY



Couture in the 21st Century is a collaboration between Rankin, one of the world's leading photographers and Harrods Publishing who have created a new fashion book but not like any other. The book looks at the past and present history of couture, and takes you on a photographic journey of contemporary design and craftsmanship of yesteryear to the present day. 

Couture in the 21st Century is a reference book of fashion inspirations with top designers such as Giorgio Armani, Oscar De La Renta, Paul Smith and many others expressing the importance of past shaping and each designer describes their relationship with Couture.  The designers' interviews are also accompanied with a photographic portrait by Rankin, who shot to fame when he launched Dazed and Confused magazine.  Rankin is now considered one of the world's leading photographers with subjects ranging from Kylie Minogue to the Queen.  The author is Deborah Bee a former journalist and magazine editor and now editor-in-chief of Harrods Publishing.

Couture in the 21st Century goes on sale Thursday 14th October  and available from Harrods, Harrods.com and all leading high street and online booksellers priced £40.
