The angular attitude to color matches monochromatic black, white and blue with high-impact cutting insertions of pink, mandarin, royal and titanium metallics. 

The marine club house influence extends into the accessories, unveiling super light technical nappa bags with water repellent finishing as well as a contemporary interpretation of classic chukka boots and topsiders presented in rubberized leather.

International Debut of the New Z ZEGNA SS 15 at Pitti Immagine Uomo 2014

With a clean look that merges the elegance of high tailoring with the performance of multi-functional sportswear, the inaugural Z ZEGNA collection was unveiled in style at the 86th Edition of PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO. Amid an interactive performance show that underscored the urban sportification philosophy of the new Z ZEGNA, the high versatility and hybridization that characterize the collection have redefined the concept of metropolitan cool. The event was held at the historic Stazione Leopolda, constructed in the 1840s and one of Tuscany's first railway stations.

The evening began with a great sense of anticipation as journalists, VIPs and friends of Zegna were greeted by canapés and cocktails while awaiting the international debut of the new Z ZEGNA Spring/Summer 15 collection. As the show commenced, models sporting 30 looks from the new collection paraded in front of the crowd while renowned Traceur practitioners from the Formainarte company, dressed exclusively in signature Z ZEGNA techmerino, ran, jumped, vaulted and propelled themselves in a spectacular display of athleticism. The juxtaposition of style and performance perfectly fit Z ZEGNA's new proposal for a contemporary wardrobe where inter-contamination is rewarded by a sophisticated new aesthetic.

Immediately following the performance, five giant pentagons were raised from the pavement, signifying the 5 elements that define the Z ZEGNA DNA: Deformalization, Sportification, Hybridization, Urbanization and Innovation. Inside each pentagon, iconic pieces from the new collection were on display for the audience to see and touch. The evening continued with a cocktail party where guests were invited to view the collection up close while enjoying a DJ set with New Zealand-born DJ, Pascal Moscheni.

The quintessential Modernist


A Mod undercurrent pervades the ZZegna Fall/Winter 2014-15 collection where sartorial expertise becomes a high-impact expression of studied individuality, upbeat energy and relaxed elegance for a younger generation.

Edgy over rebellious. A nod at a social movement that in the Sixties planted the seed of change, spawning an unfaltering fashion statement that ZZegna revisits through the art of tailoring, highlighted by taut and sleek silhouettes imbued with a youthful spin.
An imaginative and desirable formula to stand out from the pack - dry and slim-cut suits, high-cuffed cropped pants, generous pockets, sleeve garters and mock knitwear alternated by fitted shirts with tie bars.

The mood is graphic, dictated by a recurring and exclusive interpretation of lines - pinstripes, chalk stripes, large candy bands or thin ones that intersect to form a tight grid. Geometries that include blurry mohair tartans and that with millimetrical precision cut across natural-shouldered jackets, car coats, roomy outerwear and snug trousers.

At times, striped motifs in three different sizes are mismatched to modern effect in tonal color combinations. At others, boldly colored bands are  splashed down the front of a boxy coat creating a vivid contrast against a palette anchored on tradition with an abundance of navy blue, acorn brown and smoky grey, accentuated by burgundy, mustard yellow and bottle green reminiscent of college uniforms.

The accessories further elevate the aura of irreverence and personality via monk shoes with chunky rubber soles, hand perforated tips and combos of hammered and brushed calfskins.
Versatile work and weekend bags are fashioned from macro-grain calfskin, brushed leathers and felted wools.

A collection of relevant standalone pieces that interprets the past with wit and bravado, a blend of informal modernism.
