Up close with Jasper Garvida A/W 11/12 collection (Push PR Press Preview)

Earlier this week although I have a busy schedule I made time to go along to the Push PR press day as they have some great brands including my ultimate favourite Jasper Garvida.  Those of you who follow the blog regularly know that I'm a big cheerleader for Jasper and being so close to the clothing being able to touch the fabrics and see just how much workmanship goes into each piece just makes me want to go out and buy more Pom Poms!!





Well here I take a closer look and so can you with the pictures and video tour Ive done for your enjoyment!  please note I'm not the greatest filmmaker but you can get the point of what I'm saying so enjoy!!

THIS WEEK I'M LOVING.... THE 'RENE' SHIRT

The 'Rene' shirt is an understated elegant white shirt from the current Jasper Garvida A/W 10 collection.

The body of the shirt is 100% ivory silk and the draped sleeves are made in matt silk georgette.  This shirt is sheer elegance with a capital E and can be dressed up or down and compliments many pieces from the on trend  A/W 10 collection.

For me Jasper Garvida was in my top 3 London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 11 shows as one of the best (check my SS 11 blog), but lets go back and talk about the current Autumn/Winter 10 'Venus' collection in particular the show stopping 'Flapper Dress'.





'Flapper Dress'

The dress feels pure luxury made in wool crepe and lined with silk.  It has jet black silk deco applique shapes and a dropped waistband and also features Jasper's signature Venus collection feature,  pretty organza petals.  The dress itself is of a gorgeous dark green colour and like all the pieces in the A/W 10 collection, is instantly recognisable as a modern classic, perfect addition to any wardrobe and easy to wear from day to night especially for cocktail hour.

I recently visited their Clerkenwell store they have two stores the other in London's Notting Hill, and on my visit I was blowned away with their jewellery which I found both beautiful and inspiring.  I was also amazed that they stock jewellery from over 50 designers such as Stephen Webster, Nicholas King, Darkhorse, Monica Vinader, Erica Pena the list is endless.  When you visit the store there is a vast choice to choose from such as contemporary wedding and engagement rings, semi precious jewellery going right up to goth themed jewellery.  There is also a studio where you can meet the EC ONE design team who can help you design and create that unique piece of jewellery you may be looking for as a gift or an engagement.  EC ONE also has a well informed and experienced sales team that walks you through the piece of jewellery that may have caught your eye making sure you know all the details about it how it was made etc.

JASPER GARVIDA S/S 11

Jasper Garvida! What can I say? he graduated from Central St Martins in 2004 and you might remember him from Sky One's hit TV show "Project Catwalk" in 2008.  That same year Jasper set up his own label and is going from strength to strength.  He has worked with a host of celebrities such as Liz Hurley and Cheryl Cole and has featured in glossies such as Vogue, Elle and Grazia.

When I heard about Jasper's Show I knew I had to be there, it would be the first time ever I would see his work on the catwalk. 

His Spring/Summer 11 collection 'Belle' was inspired by both Paris and St Petersburg, with streamlined tailoring, beatnik vibe, with lots of soft pinks, purples and sequined pieces finished to the highest standard.

For me the collection was breathtaking as each piece came out I wanted more.  Jasper is definitely only going to get better and one we should all look out for and personally I think every woman should own at least one piece.


Jasper Garvida I salute you!! Big thumbs up from the Clotheshorse, he is not only talented but also very humble and it was a pleasure meeting him.
