It's been revealed today that Italian fashion duo Domenico dolce and Stefano Gabbana are to design Claridges' iconic Christmas tree for 2013. In previous years we've seen a host of designer do the honour most memorable would be Alber Elbaz for the House of Lanvin ... The design duo are longtime friends and guests of Claridges and seem only right they do the honour for what has become a yearly tradition
The tree will depict elements of a traditional Christmas tree with Sicilian elements and draws heritage from the designers with hand crafted puppets and hand painted Italian festive glass baubles and bespoke multi coloured 'luminaire' framework created in Southern Italy.
This is definitely one to watch out for and if it's done the Italian way this could be the most interesting and iconic tree yet!
