Mugler to open its first store in Milan

Unveiling its first boutique, MUGLER will open the doors to its eponymous Milan shop in shop on Via Borgospesso 5, on June 25th, 2013.

Designed by the MUGLER studio, the new boutique is set as part of IT'S 30 MANZONI, the first department store inaugurated by Ittierre, it can also be accessed through a separated entrance fronted by two windows.

With over 90 sq meters, the boutique plays with the contrasts between the Gallarati Scotti palazzo's original 18th century fresco and the futuristic metal elements, creating a modern space that incarnates the brand's DNA.

The shop in shop boutique will present the MUGLER women's and men's collections, as well as the handbag collection.

Says Joel Palix, President of Clarins Fragrance Group and Director General of MUGLER: "This store is an exciting new step in the evolution of the MUGLER brand, initiated in 2010. For the first time, the brand will present its whole universe in one of the world's leading fashion cities. We are thrilled about the partnership with Ittierre and to be able to benefit from their outstanding expertise”

Says Antonio Bianchi, Chairman and President and Owner of ITR spa: "We are so proud of this collaboration with the Maison MUGLER. The brand is part of the history of fashion, and has managed to reinvent itself for a new contemporary generation. We are very happy to host such a store with an unexpected and unique concept. We are sure the customers will share this excitement and this is the first step of the MUGLER and Ittierre partnership"

The Milan opening is part of the global international development strategy of the French brand, which plans to open stand-alone boutiques in Paris and Hong Kong within the next 2 years.

The MUGLER collections are distributed in over 100 multi brands and high end department stores across the world.
