EYES ON THE HORIZON’
MCM teams up with Craig & Karl for an exclusive collection
MCM is launching an exciting collection for an unforgettable summer escapade - teaming up with the pop art wiz duo Craig & Karl. MCM continues its commitment of inviting art into the daily lives of fashion connoisseurs and vice versa. A start in a series of initiatives to collaborate with prominent artists, the brand is proud to announce the ‘Eyes on the Horizon’ limited edition collection.
The 'Eyes on the Horizon' collection by Craig & Karl evokes a sunny optimism, recalling sun kissed vacations and the youthful excitement of an endless summer. The artwork is focused on playful eyes peering out through pairs of sunglasses while the glasses take on amusing and abstracted forms to add a sense of fun and modernity to the collection. Craig & Karl paired the eyes with splashes of color and summer motives like palm trees, water reflections and everything that adds a summery breeze to it
The collection offers various styles ranging from backpacks with humorous prints and pop colored document holders, a briefcase as well as of course the ever favorite shopper series. Complementary accessories in different color schemes, all playing with the iconic Visetos pattern, feature pouches, wallets, charms and a glass case which all promise to add a dash of witty and adventurous vibe to your wardrobe
The collaboration was designed by Craig & Karl, two artists living in two cities on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean. The collection name is also a nod to Craig and Karl's physical locations. Craig is based in New York and Karl in London so they are always a horizon's distance away from each other. Despite their locations they still collaborate on an everyday basis to create bold work that is filled with simple messages executed in a thoughtful and often humorous way.
The complete collection will be available in the MCM London boutique located at 5 Sloane Street, SWX1 9LA and from Harrods, as well as MCM boutiques and selected retailers worldwide.
