THIS WEEK I'M LOVING DEBENHAMS TAILORED SHIRTS

OK so the week has just started, but browsing the net I discovered Debenhams now offer tailor made shirts online which you can customise they way YOU want it.  In four easy steps easy steps you can have the shirt you've always desired.

STEP ONE:  Picking your fabric - From a wide range of designs whether it be plain white or black, herringbone, stripes or gingham, the list is endless.  I chose the black spira 6 fabric from the Italian Luxury collection.

STEP TWO: Choosing your design, now this is the fun part as its all the 3D.  First you choose your collar from a long list which includes classic point, Lincoln collar among others.  I chose the Lincoln collar as I thought I would try something different as its not everyday you design your own shirt.  Now you choose your sleeve design, long or short sleeve then you cuff preference.  At this stage I chose long sleeve with a cocktail cuff.  Next you choose if you would like a pocket or not I chose to have a pocket as I didn't what this to be just an ordinary shirt this is my masterpiece.  Next, time to choose buttons, I choose black so they contrast with the rest of the shirt and the shirt will have white contrasting stitching so its black with white stitching around the buttons. The final stage in this step is choosing contrasting fabric for the inner cuff and inner collar, this is a sign of a good quality shirt so I choose a black and white polka dot design which blends in  perfect.  It may sound strange but each step you can see how you shirt is shaping up and its looking real good at this point.

STEP THREE Monograms - now we are really personalising the shirt with initials, you can choose up to four and they can be placed just above the breast pocket if you choose to have one, on the hem or the cuff, I choose to have three initials on my cuff.

STEP FOUR Sizing - there are three choices comfort fit, regular fit and slim fit, I chose to have the slim fit as I favour fitted clothing.  I also notice at this point that they guarantee to alter any shirts until they are fitted to your satisfaction, which is very reassuring just in case Ive got a little over ambitious.

All stages were not only quick but easy to understand and I recommend you sign up as your measurements will be kept on record and will make future visits even easier and faster.  In just under 5 minutes I've designed and ordered a shirt to my own specification and I'm thrilled.  The shirts range from approx £39 to £84, but this may vary on how you want your shirt to look.  This would be an ideal gift for the man or men in your life and fun in the process, I would be totally over the moon if I got one for Christmas, hint, hint!  Double thumbs up from the Clotheshorse.
