MATTHEW WILLIAMSON SS 13 PRESS PREVIEW
Earlier this week I was invited the Matthew Williamson press preview to check out the forthcoming spring/summer 2013 collection. I walk into The room and the first thing that hits me is the colour palette ..... On the money! Colours range from cerise, mint greens up to near racing green, cobalt blue to navy on tweeds, reds and purples. The prints are inspired from a New York artist which I am informed Matthew is obsessed with at the moment......
Embellishments are heavy but does not impede garments on the weight front - when I lifted the embellished garments off the rail I was expecting them to be really heavy but was surprised they were not. Accessories are strong with a tribal, urban modern feel in above mentioned colours much can be said about the shoes which are fab and have amazing heels ......
For me this collection was amazing and inspiring! Really! It's not often I say that but this is a truth blog and these were my findings. It was great to see more wearable pieces such a relaxed pants and sweatshirts which gives the collection a more expandable feel ie day and night as Matthew is known for his evening wear and ultimate glamour
Verdict: I haven't said this much form
SS 13 collections like I did for say SS 11 .... But we have a collection and it's a hot one ....
