THE NEW LUCAS HUGH Collection.
LUCAS HUGH NEW YORK COLLECTION LAUNCHING THIS SEPTEMBER
Highly-Anticipated New York Collection will set pulses racing
Lucas Hugh, the high-fashion performance wear label, is pleased to announce that their New York Limited Edition Collection is available for preview ahead of the in-store launch in September. Inspired by New York’s twilight energy, the collection features the 3D images of the city’s nocturnal skyline, by renowned aerial photographer Jason Hawkes. The illuminated arresting architecture is brought into sharp relief projected against a dusky backdrop, capturing the vibrancy and dynamism of the city that never sleeps.
The sleek silhouettes and lightweight neoprene-look fabrics take their design cue from surf-wear, liberating yet supporting the physique for optimum performance and comfort. Leggings and running base layer tops in strong stretch, fleece-lined fabrics are ideal for colder weather, while staple basics such as t-shirts and tanks give the option of softer, lightweight layering.
Lucas Hugh reimagines athletic wear for the woman who loves high fashion, whilst meeting the demands of the modern wardrobe for versatility, practicality and functionality. The label’s look is edgy but sophisticated, balancing strong, clean masculine lines with sexy, feminine detailing. The collections combine a high fashion aesthetic with innovative, considered design – premised on "fashionable function" rather than "functional fashion" – and are produced using the latest hi-tech fabrics and manufacturing techniques.
Anjhe Mules, Creative Director of Lucas Hugh said: “For the new collection I wanted to celebrate the pulse and spirit of New York – one of my favourite cities and a recent addition to Lucas Hugh’s international expansion. Each piece is named after, and a tribute to, some of the town’s landmarks such as The Highline base layer or the Lexington leggings.
The palette of darker urban colours is overlaid with contrasting matt and gloss finishes and animated physique-enhancing detailing such as holographic darts and light-reflective panels, which creates a bold and streamlined look.
Each piece in the range is also designed to effortlessly cross over from work out wear into day, après-ski wear or evening wear – meeting increasing customer demand for multifunctional investment pieces which work with all lifestyles.”
This is the highly-anticipated third season for the label, which counts athletes, celebrities and the fashion pack alike amongst its ever-growing fan base.
Launched online in the summer of 2010, Lucas Hugh’s inaugural collection was snapped up by Net-a-Porter, the world's premier online luxury fashion retailer, and iconic fashion store, Browns Focus in London. The brand's Olympic Inspired collection which was released in April seized the attention of domestic and international buyers alike - propelling Lucas Hugh to the top of the fashion consegnetti's 'brands to watch' list - and also sees the label's expansion into new geographies, including the US.

Following hot on the heels of a highly successful first season, which proved a winner with athletes, celebrities and the fashion pack alike, the new Olympics-inspired collection is bound to set pulses racing amongst the label’s fast-growing fan base.
LUCAS HUGH reimagines athletic wear for the woman whose love of high fashion carries through to her athletic wardrobe - whilst meeting the demands of the modern woman for versatility, practicality and functionality. The Olympics have been a key influence for the SS12 collection, which is defined by bold, vibrant hues. Lacquer-finish fabrics, directional panels, and opalescent metallic accents feature across the garments. The prismatic colour of artist Anna Sudbina's 'Krypton' abstract stretches a vibrant representation of meteoric tracery across key pieces, adding elegance and softness. With its contemporary, other-worldly celebration of both speed and poise, this collection is as flattering as it is dynamic.
Anjhe Mules, Creative Director of LUCAS HUGH said: “The energy and spirit of the Olympic games was my inspiration for the new collection. The palette of primary colours is animated with gloss finishes and physique-enhancing detailing such as holographic darts and light-reflective panels, creating a strong and streamlined look.
