Cheryl "Salt" Wray Get's Ready For Fashion Week, In Brooklyn!

I just had to post this for my New Yorkers ....

A Passion for Fashion Sparks a New Business Opportunity: The Walk-In Closet

How One Fashionista Decided to Clean Out Her Clutter and

Clean Up With Cash

Like countless individuals, Monique Alvarez is obsessed with fashion.  As a young woman, she was fortunate to land a dream job in luxury fashion and had collected more than her fair share of clothing, shoes and accessories.  She traveled the world scoring hard to find designer gems, but was more so thrilled to find the biggest one of them all, the love of her life Reggie Alvarez in 2007.   The couple wed in 2009 and it was a match made in heaven (literally, they met at church).

With new priorities and a loving spouse by her side, the two set upon a quaint Brooklyn apartment in Canarsie to build their new life.  But Alvarez's first love for fashion had accumulated to an all-time high and they soon began to feel very crowded in their little love nest.

But what's a girl to do?

After some soul searching, it was time to put her first love in its place.  Alvarez decided to clear out her apartment and clean up with some cash.  After working directly for over a decade with one famous designer, whose stores she helped build across the nation, she had always had a sweet dream of opening her own.  She imagined a beautiful walk-in closet and envisioned herself welcoming others in to shop.  It was finally time to take the plunge.

Inspired by the growing trend of pop-up stores, Alvarez signed a one month lease in trendy neighborhood in Hipster Brooklyn, New York opened up her new store called "The Walk-In Closet" on Monday, August 23rd.   The store is located at 708 Franklin Avenue between Park Place and Prospect Avenue.

"This is truly a dream come true for me.  If all goes well, I may stay another month.  For now, I am welcoming everyone to join me as I begin my new life as a fashion entrepreneur," exclaimed Alvarez.

Gorgeous clothes, shoes and accessories all in one place.  Now let's just hope that she doesn't buy back her stuff and bring it back home.
