George Clooney & Rande Gerber Launch Casamigos House of Friends Campaign



George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman have been very secretive about how they operate Casamigos which has now become the fastest growing, most popular tequila brand in the U.S. Clooney and Gerber are involved in every aspect  - with the tagline “brought to you by those who drink it” and Casamigos, meaning House of Friends, named after their neighboring houses in Cabo - the two are at its very essence and for their first campaign, Casmigos is asking friends and fans of the brand to go out and document their own House of Friends moments.

George and Rande’s friendship is as well known as their drinking. They didn¹t want Casamigos to be or have an exclusive feel, they are all about being inclusive. Preferring not to hire team members with any spirit related experience, they work with passionate drinkers of the brand who like to think outside the box. Without a big corporation or expensive marketing company behind them regulating their adverts to look like the rest of the industry, Casamigos does it its own way.

You don’t have to be famous, live in a certain place or act a certain way to enjoy Casamigos. All you need are friends and a bottle of Casamigos to create memories. Road trips, late nights, sunrises, dancing - all of it. Our House of Friends is inclusive not exclusive. We want everyone to share their House of Friends moments with Casamigos. 

We invited our friend, fashion photographer Jason Lee Parry, to be the first to participate and the only thing Casamigos supplied were cases of Casamigos Tequila and the rest was up to them. What came back was the first amongst a series of incredibly candid scenes from a camping trip with old friends and new friends with one common theme, Casamigos and creating memories.

Jason Lee Parry and his friends made a great video and we got ahold of the real footage that will make anyone want to be part of their House of Friends and bet there with them!  They went camping and took along a few cases of Casamigos. Lukas Nelson, son of Willie then played some music, which was added to the video.

For the House of Friends campaign, fans are encouraged to post videos on social media and tag @Casamigos and #houseoffriends. Clooney and Gerber will view the submissions and a select few will be shared on the Casamigos social channels as part of the new campaign.
