Spring Court x Agnès b.

In 1936 Georges Grimmeisen, a lover of tennis, invented the Spring Court tennis shoe. This revolutionary shoe was breathable, made of cotton canvas and had a volcanized rubber sole.  The tennis shoe designed for play on clay, was quickly adopted by professional and amateur players alike.  It reigned supreme on the tennis courts until the late 70’s. The Spring Court shoe is recognisable by its four distinctive ventilation holes in the midsole.

Agnès has always loved the simple yet functional design of Spring Court and has worn many pairs out!
John Lennon was a big fan of Spring Court and famously wore them for the Abbey Road album cover, and to marry Yoko Ono.  Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin were also fans and wore them around town.

For Spring Summer 2019 Spring Court and Agnès b. collaborate and have chosen the emblematic lizard to bring the two brands together.  Available to both men and women.  During the Spring Summer season we will also be selling the classic high canvas sneaker.

Available in all stores from April 2019.
