The “Urubu” collection for SS17
by My Galavant by Tramp In Disguise
My Galavant by Tramp in Disguise has launched the new SS17 collection “Urubu” – a tributary of the mighty Amazon River.
The Inspiration for the collection of the jungle environment and rainforests around the river Amazon is clearly written through the prints. Designer Sini Moilanen researched imagery of lizards, bugs and the vegetation of the rain forests, looking into rope bridges, Amazonian tribes and the female explorers of these areas. From these sources Sini created stunning motifs with original prints of chameleons climbing on ropes, dancing bugs, butterflies and jungle plants.
.
The garments are produced in a combination of both structured and draped designs in an array of fabrics: stretch satin, scuba jersey with pique texture, satin in heavy and medium weight, jersey, organza, laser-cut textured fabric, knitted mesh, knitted fabric, pleated fabric, chiffon, coloured denim, and embroidered organza.
The collection range includes going out and occasion wear dresses alongside separates with a broad range of skirts, tops, jackets, shorts, culottes, shirts and a jumpsuit included in the collection. The wholesale price for the dresses in the collection range between £47- £72.
My Galavant is the diffusion line to high-end label Tramp In Disguise and was created by designer Sini Moilanen in response to a customer demand for a more commercial line of her exciting prints and wearable silhouettes. Finnish born fashion and textile designer Sini Moilanen qualified as Master of Arts from Royal College of Art prior to setting up her first label Tramp in Disguise. My Galavant has been a welcome addition receiving positive feedback from press, buyers and celebrities.
