CIMONE REVEALS NEW HANDBAG COLLECTION
CIMONE, is a newcomer on the British fashion scene; and the designer and creative director, Carli Pearson has already won praise for her women's ready-to-wear collection.
In addition to her successful women's AW16 range, Carli also crafts some of the most covetable handbags in London. This Samurai-inspired, woven, laser-cut leather tote complete with sheepskin sides, was handmade in the London studio.
“CIMONE is about opposites, in all senses of the word – design, fabric, taste, silhouette, and overall brand message – positives vs. negatives. Although CIMONE has a polished serious aesthetic, it’s really important that the design isn't so serious that it loses all sense of fun. CIMONE aims to have a youthful spirit and to be irreverent at its core, and after thirteen years working at senior levels in the industry, I’m ready to chart my own course.”
CIMONE has also just launched its e-commerce store, featuring select pieces from the autumn/winter 2016 debut collection. With a healthy stable of private clients, the brand aims to reinvest revenue back into the brand for its upcoming spring/summer 2017 range, which will be shown in a catwalk show over London Fashion Week in September.
CIMONE was founded by designer and creative director, Carli Pearson who worked for seven years at Stella McCartney, was Design Director at Alexander Wang, was Head of Show Collection at Pucci, and most recently was Head of Womenswear at McQ, Alexander McQueen. She has also consulted for global brands including Temperley, Jaeger, Equipment, Iris & Ink, and Orlebar Brown.
