Selfridges hosts week long celebration of shoes

This September, Selfridges Exchange Square will be celebrating the arrival of its incredible new women’s shoe department in style with Sole of the Party, a week-long celebration of shoe-dedicated activities - including a visit from best-selling author Camilla Morton.

On Wednesday 23 September, Camilla, author of How to Walk in High Heels, will be in store for a workshop (with groups of up to 15) talking about how to dress, act, walk and make sure you get the very best out of your day. Camilla will also be signing her latest book Make Life Beautiful, which is launching exclusively in Selfridges.

Throughout the week customers can also enjoy a host of shoe-related festivities, including shoe illustration, bespoke dust-bag embroidery, gold tattooing and craftsman customisation with their shoe purchases.

On display will be the amazing Jimmy Choo Cinderella Shoe for shoppers to admire or even purchase. The ancient art of Solestry will also be taking place across the week, allowing shoppers to have their fortune told through a mystical foot reading. The cutting-edge ‘Photo Shoe-t’ will also be in- store to take customised pictures of shoppers modelling their new purchases.

Selfridges’ stunning shoe department features a vast selection of the world’s leading designer shoe brands and international fashion houses such as Jimmy Choo, Givenchy, Christian Louboutin, Victoria Beckham, Valentino, Charlotte Olympia, Gucci, Prada, Saint Laurent and many more with a total of 990 different shoe choices across 30 brands.
