Chester Barrie Autumn Winter ’15

Chester Barrie takes tailoring back to its histories

Chester Barrie has taken inspiration from its sartorial past andblended it with contemporary sensibility, fashioning an Autumn Winter 2015 collection that is both elegant and stylish.

Celebrating the brands 80th anniversary Chester Barrie has delved back to the 1930s and the birth of the modern lounge suit, for a collection that offers quintessentially English tailoring.

Inks, air force and teals amidst Cambridge greys and mid-browns offer a rich, yet subtle colour palette.

The aesthetic comprises generously proportioned lapels helping create a silhouette that is both dramatic and flattering while beautifully soft, textured wools add drape and a sense of luxury. Cloths sourced from the archive being the highlight, bring further authenticity, most notably a brown flannel stripe and a dark blue self-check.

Stand out pieces this season - The peak lapelled Ebury three piece suit flannel and the recently introduced Ledbury top coat - Lightweight, soft-structured and only partially lined.

Shirts meanwhile are in textured cotton or lightweight flannel and feature dramatic cutaway collars alongside textured ties.
