JUDY WU's Spring/Summer 2015 collection is inspired by 'Jardim Botânico' in the cultural city of Rio de Janeiro. These idyllic botanical gardens celebrate nature with some of the most beautiful types of plant-life and flowers from around the world.
The essence of the forthcoming collection transcends from original photography taken by JUDY WU. Created from real moments in time, the most beautiful print effects on sharp tailoring and contemporary clothing designs come to life. Images of the 'Arecaceae' (palm tree) were taken against the backdrop of Rio's stunning skyline, and display delicate and intricate pattern formations which are nature's arrangement, allowing efficient light exposure to all surface matter.
With these muses, JUDY WU presents a whimsical journey into the shapes and creations of life forms. Using pleating to replicate how a leaf structure is specially designed, and diagonal-shape beading onto soft summer hues of mint, white, and pink offering a collection of summer growth and bliss.
Judy never fails to produce great collections and the workmanship in the SS 15 is by far some of her best work to date and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next... The collection is very fashion forward, in great tones and 100% wearable on many levels - if you like the SS 15 collection then I suggest check king out the AW 14/15 at wolfandbadger.com it's everything!
